Who Am I

My name is Pedro Tairum, and I’m the founder of this project. I’m a native of Lisbon, Portugal. My connection to the Tairum family comes from my mother’s side. It’s been a fascinating journey tracing this line back through the generations, and so far, I’ve been able to reach my great-grandfather. I’m eager to delve even deeper into the past and uncover more about the Tairums who came before him.

Becoming a father to two wonderful children, two new members of the Tairum line, deepened this desire to explore our family history. I want them to grow up with a sense of connection to their past, to understand the heritage they carry in their names. This project is as much for them as it is for me—a way to preserve our family’s story for generations to come.

I’m passionate about genealogy because I believe it’s important to understand our roots. Our family history is a part of who we are, and it can help us to better understand ourselves and our place in the world.

I’m excited to share my research with you in this blog. I’ll be posting about my ancestors, my family history research methods, and the stories I’ve discovered. I hope you’ll find my blog informative and interesting.

I’m also interested in hearing from you! If you have any questions about my family history research or if you’d like to share your own family stories, please feel free to Reach Out!

I may not have inherited a castle, but I did inherit these genes. Thanks, ancestors!
